Precious and oh so brave humans, we are in uncharted territory when it comes to the amount of change happening on every level of our existence. But what is charted is how the solar system, the stars, the galaxies and the universes have a rhythm and an order that is reflected on how the earth, which is an integral part of this vast cosmic creation, and all life on earth are experiencing themselves.

Brené Brown, PhD, LMSW, is an amazing human being. She is a professor, a ground-breaking researcher, a best-selling author and a crazy-great speaker. I recently gave out 20 copies of her latest book, Dare to Lead, to people I love as gifts. And my confession (“bless me, Father, for I have sinned” we would say in Catholic confessionals, which I think could also be translated as “bless me, Father, for I have human-ed) is that I am a little jealous of her.

So here’s my name and all its derivations: Cynthia Gough James, Cynthia James, Cindy Gough James, Cindy James. CJ. CGJ. (Anne and Bernadette will always be with me, just not on my passport etc.) I love my name and the fact that it is soooo easy to spell. I also love having a typically male first name as my last name. It’s time to bridge the unnatural divide between traditionally masculine/active energy and traditionally feminine/receptive energy.

The age-old concept of “right and wrong” is on its way out. Hopefully never to return. Like the dodo bird. No offense to the dodo bird, things just didn’t work out. Right and wrong thinking is always going to set us on a wild-goose chase of unhappiness and get us on an unending seesaw of dissatisfaction, and it’s going to bruise us and our bottoms quite regularly and intensely.

It's that feeling of expansive joy, of love, of the sensation that all is well. It is a feeling of total relaxation in the present moment, while feeling the wonder of that moment, the wonder of being alive. This feeling of forever-in-a-moment connects us to all that ever was, is and will be, with profound awe.
